a... poem
Woot! The hated blank verse? Me? Oh, the shame! XD

Charmed by the sunset I sit by the window
Watchinig the golden haze seep through the sky
Mingled with reds, pinks and purples, with lazurite blue;
In the middle of April, in the middle of summer, a swallow flies
From beneath the new-born leaves, air full of blossom,
Scent of things growing, flowering anew.
A pitch-black crow flies before a pastel horizon
A snow-white gull descends over dark waters of the lake
A tiny wagtail measures with it's dancing step
The grey roof of a building ablaze with the red gold
Of the setting sun; Summer shows its hot, sleepy face in the middle of Spring.
The distant trees look like mountains scattered
In the midst of a Chinese painting.
Everywhere I look I see a work of art, overwhelmingly beautiful;
The echoes of beauty, the footsteps of music of pure joy...
I wish to catch this moment and hold it forever
To be held forever in that for which happiness is too shallow a word.
A train speeding on in the distance, a flicker of industrial flame
The glimmer of lights of the town on the horizon,
Like those of some ancient elven city, soon to be echoed
By the evening star that will light in the purple-blue haze.
Two crows fly past me and over the landscape
I close my eyes and let the evening air flow past my face
I feel free... I could be now forever, here forever
To hold this moment and all that it is in my embrace
But I open my eyes and it slips away, running
Like a tear down my cheek.
What does it all mean?

I usually stop myself from writing any kind of poetry, but nothing in the world could have stopped me that particular evening...
